That whole idea goes against a fundamental concept	by Egaeus	2003-10-22 11:27:44
on which the US was founded. That is, that a government is permitted to govern only by the consent of the governed. By taking away someone's right to vote, you would be taking away their right to give consent, and you would be taking away (another) one of the things that made this country great. By doing this, you would also be turning the country into an oligarchy, further eroding the democratic ideals this country was founded on that we hold so dear.
