UK vs US version of Coupling by taIon2003-10-22 09:36:23
The US version stinks like week-old dead fish. by quilting_kitty2003-10-22 09:41:13
I was wondering how it could be bad. by nin_man2003-10-22 09:52:55
Yeah, they changed it a little, and by quilting_kitty 2003-10-22 10:29:53
cut quite a bit, but the quality of the casting is what really hurt the show.

Examples of some changes:

Steve and Jane arguing about Cripin => Steve and Jane arguing about the Titanic ("Everyone forgets that, before they hit the iceburg, they had a very nice cruise.") I know most Americans wouldn't get the Cripin reference, but it's just not the same, is it?

Jeff speaking to Susan "I wasn't expecting (a fish course/an elaborate spread)."

They completely dropped the "unflushable" part of the pilot.
