Michael has won quite a few millions of dollars in malpractice suits but cannot collect the money til Terry dies. Currently there is a push in Florida to pass a law that will limit malpractice settlements to only $250,000. It stands to reason that if this drags out much longer, Michael could find himself getting substantially less money than he would if she would just die now.
