I am thinking of trying FreeBsd (something else to try) and am getting ready to download from linuxiso.org. I see that there is a version 4.8 and a version 5.1. Has anyone had any experience with either? Concerns would be newbieness, installation options, compatability. I am going to install this on a Dell Inspiron laptop(466 with 384 ram). I use a Netgear card for my network connection. I have had no issues with linux at all on this. I just want to try something different. Any suggestions, preferences, or just OS flag waving?
