I have a 2-port Conexant ADSL Router that cost me £90 a year ago. There is a 4-port as well. Dabs have a selection starting at £45 for a 4-port DSL Router... Apart from having to log into it to set up the DHCP & ADSL connection parameters, there was almost no setup required. Then I went a bit nuts and put a Wi-Fi (g) card in the desktop system & shared the ADSL connection so that the 2 laptops (with PCMCIA Wi-Fi cards) could use the net as well. You might want to consider Wi-Fi ISO Cat-5 as you could probably pick up 802.11b PCI cards for ~£20 each now...
