is whether a true pacifist who would not dream of joining the army or the police force would still count on their protection. And if the answer is yes, how can that possibly be justified?

Also, if you are that pacifistic, would you be opposed to working in a hospital? Or is saving lives immoral in your view if these lives belong to the military?
