If you want to indoctrinate, the military is much too late to do it. You need to form their opinions in their youth. But do you really want to do that? It would be nice to indoctrinate the concepts of duty to the contry and the people, but often it becomes duty to the leader. What we really want to do is to teach the youth to think about how their actions affect others. In the US we need to teach them how to think for themselves (this seems to be getting lost between the left and right's attempts to indoctrinate). |
