I happened to be doing research for a highschool English paper, and though to myself "Wow, these guys have cool names!", and I've used a few of them in various places since then...
Actually, the paper was on the Gilgamesh saga, so it's really more Sumerian, and they had most of the cool names, but because the Semites pretty much adopted their mythology wholesale, all the characters have two or three different names for the different cultures that mythologized them.
