Security cameras in school hallways by oot2003-08-26 18:27:59

Interesting, but not a privacy issue is it? by Atrahasis2003-08-26 19:59:14
And that's exactly why they got in trouble. by Naruki 2003-08-26 20:24:16
But for a while they made a nice haul. It was flat out corruption from the inception.

The reason it is a privacy issue has to do with how cameras act as tools of the police force. You know the arguments that make radar detectors legal in most states? They're based on privacy laws. Cameras for catching speeders infringe on privacy ever so slightly (or completely, depending on the situation).

Sure, the cameras themselves are a privacy issue.. by Atrahasis2003-08-26 20:37:38
