Security cameras in school hallways by oot2003-08-26 18:27:59

    Why? by Glytch782003-08-26 18:34:15
Depends on where they are. by Kickstart2003-08-26 18:44:47

Oh, that's been done here too. by Atrahasis2003-08-26 19:34:12
              Right. by Naruki 2003-08-26 19:46:37
But I was specifically referring to a known case of abuse. IIRC (but I may not), it was determined that the company carefully chose those locations so they could get the most money with the least amount of VIPs affected.

And much of that money didn't go to the city or state coffers, either. It was a really nasty example of what _will_ happen with this kind of privacy-busting technology.

Interesting, but not a privacy issue is it? by Atrahasis2003-08-26 19:59:14
And that's exactly why they got in trouble. by Naruki2003-08-26 20:24:16
Sure, the cameras themselves are a privacy issue.. by Atrahasis2003-08-26 20:37:38
