Security cameras in school hallways by oot2003-08-26 18:27:59
  It's getting more common by Kickstart2003-08-26 18:31:49
    Why? by Glytch782003-08-26 18:34:15
Depends on where they are. by Kickstart2003-08-26 18:44:47
I think they do that in Norway... by Atrahasis 2003-08-26 19:19:08
Any Norwegians on the board feel free to correct me (:
But I seem to recall from my time in Oslo that some of the busiest sections of the downtown were filmed 24/7 by the police.

The amusing part is how this is the same country and city where the Israeli embassy got in trouble for having their security cameras pointed so that they recorded part of the public street in front of the embassy, instead of only their own property. So the message is clear -- if anybody's going to record your activities, it's only going to be Big Brother!

Oh, that's been done here too. by Atrahasis2003-08-26 19:34:12
              Right. by Naruki2003-08-26 19:46:37
Interesting, but not a privacy issue is it? by Atrahasis2003-08-26 19:59:14
And that's exactly why they got in trouble. by Naruki2003-08-26 20:24:16
Sure, the cameras themselves are a privacy issue.. by Atrahasis2003-08-26 20:37:38
