You don't like them on public streets, which in general aren't likely to be filmed. Cool, I agree with that. For me, it's a privacy issue... I don't WANT to be able to be tracked wherever I go.

But you agree with having them in (presumably) public schools. While I agree in principle with the reason (bullying and such), I have to ask: Why are students less deserving of privacy than everyone else?

Hate to say it, but there's violence on public streets too. If there are cameras in schools but not out in public, what's to stop the bullies from harassing you off of school property where there are no cameras? I know I saw an awful lot of harassment going on off of school property back when I was in high school. IMO, all your solution does is remove the school's responsibility in the matter, and puts the onus of dealing with the problem on the police force and everyone else.
