The cliche swinging watch method is the one I use. Never actualy used a watch, but I've use a washer, a quarter with a hole drilled in, neclaces, and a variaty of other things. I actually just about had someone out one time without those devices but but a dumb-butt with a high pitched squeely voice kept interupting.
