Etcetera. He's expressing an opinion that he likes one thing and despises the other, but you - however unintentionally - casually blurred the lines between the two. There's nothing wrong with his statement, especially as the rest of his post is simply expressing why the distinction is important _without_ any sort of insult offered.
Yet, had the topic been browsers/editors/OSs, you had better believe there would have been some sanctimonious comments about your total lack of taste added in for good measure.
Somehow, though, I don't think that would have bothered you, even coming from "a complete stranger". |
