A little background into my story: the university connects to the 408 (East-West Expressway) through the research park, and the end of the research park is actually the start of the 408. So, as I made that left turn to get on the expressway, I was passed by a student in a green Mustang who gave me an obscene gesture (why? I dunno...) as he zoomed past me.

Thankfully, this was one of those days when the geeks win. I was maybe 1/4 mile behind him the whole time, until the Dean toll plaza--you see, he had to "stop and pay toll," and I didn't have to stop to pay mine :-) Why not? I have EPass...I blew through the plaza at 35MPH.

[It was particularly satisfying to see him banging his head on his steering wheel in my rearview...maybebecause he realized he had made an utter fool of himself...more likely it was because he had to stop.]
