Your irritation seems to be blinding you to how close you are to the same attitude you are decrying. Their values are just as valid as yours or anyone else's, so long as they stay within the boundaries society sets.
They are allowed to vote their beliefs and you really have no business saying they shouldn't. If they step outside that area society gives them, they are fair game.
I'd also like to point out that your second-to-last line is untrue. Even on this board, I've been blasted for my religious beliefs, and told that my church is wrong unless it admits gays.
If the church must admit gays, then it must give them full sanction including marriage. Go back and read those boards during the week the newest Episcopal bishop was appointed.
