I don't find many folks who know how Mahjongg is really played...not in this part of the country. I learned from my parents, who learned from my grandmother. She started playing in the 1920's, when the Americanized version of Mahjongg was almost as popular as bridge. She had four bone and ivory sets, all of them are nearing 100 years old, that are simply amazing to look at.

I've taught everyone I know and some of them have bought their own sets and still play. It's a lot of fun.
