well I'm very visual too by Celticess 2003-08-24 20:46:40
and text things can be harder/take longer for me to learn but I eventually associate stuff to visual. And well natively since my language is visual I have alot of stored associations... some of which might make people laugh. Usually I've got video clips, pictures, or sounds in my head that mean x word or phrase. So sometimes if people ask me for definitions I can't easily give one. Or I have a phrase I've associated as appropriate to use for x thing tho ask me what it individually means and I may not be able to tell you.

But if a program is visual ... well typically windows programs take me about 5-15min to learn with no manual... unless it's quite complex or weird.(rhino fits that tho I learned bryce with no books, cool3d with no books, etc)... and in linux the configs I do in text form for things... but I stick generally to the GUI as I feel very disoriented in text based things(why I don't use screen or other text based GUI's)... tho oddly I do like text based games... well word games and things like LORD(RPG's). Otherwise I tend to stick graphically to games that are puzzles. :)
