Evil! Possessed! Demonic! Very, very bad! Icky! by oot 2003-08-24 20:01:21
The demonic computer that has come to plague me because its owner is too nice for me to say no to trying to fix it has developed a new problem: push power button, light comes on, nothing happens. Not just no output to the video card, it also doesn't beep anything and doesn't try to access the floppy (which IS part of it's normal boot sequence).

Potentially related issues:
It has one fan. In the power supply. And that fan doesn't work. And it has a brand new hard drive (to replace the dead one) and CD burner to make more heat for it. Even with all of the drives unplugged it still won't even print a BIOS message or give a beep code.

I suspect these episodes with the computer are signs from the Technology [God[ess][[e]s]|Pancake[s]] that [she|he|it|they] have an opinion on my wish to be a vetrinarian instead of having a computer job... but does this mean approval or disapproval?
