Please Help Again (Linux Rescue on the way...) by duesentrieb 2006-11-19 12:55:59
First of all, thank you all for your support, especially to Celticess and nix. =)

Ok... I managed booting using the install disc (the boot disk did not work, and single-user-mode did not either, not even with init=/bin/sh). Now i have a bash prompt and my system mounted at /mnt/sysimage.... now what? i fiddeled with rpm but didn't find out how to force it to downgrade glibc from 2.3.2-27.9 to 2.3.2-11.9. It keeps compaining about conflicts (as expected). Also, the --dbpath option is not recognized by rpm, and i was unable to find any alternative. Now, what do i do?

Oh, yea, in case you wander what i'm talking about: clicky

so, tnx again...
