Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory by DaNutBall 2006-11-19 12:55:59
What is going on?
I have suggested we have a regular server and games to play for various UFies.

Why Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory?
It's FREE. It's available for Linux and Windows. It's a standalone game -- you do not need anything else to play the game. Click here to download (by clicking on Enemy Territory in the menu. WARNING: Site is in Flash!) or Click here to download (No flash required.) This is the README; it gives the Windows requirements. (The Linux requirements are simmilar.) If you would prefer, bittorrent files are available from id software. Using Bittorrent is recommended. Many people have noticed that the Windows installer from the download sites have been corrupt, while Bittorrent has been OK.

Click here for more information on where the server is at, and to say you're intrested. Go ahead and post to this TLP and the diary link speaking your intrest. Note that our current server is hosted by FireballMatt and it is limited to 8 people. If you have something better let me know. Current server information can be found here. Here's some information on Enemy Territory servers and how they work. alter3d has mentioned that there is usually a 20 kbps/player upload requirement.

We are trying to get an idea of when to play so we have more than 3 on at a time! Click here and let everyone know when you can play. We would like to establish a regular night and time when everyone plays. Proposed times (and dates) are available here. I would like to take about a few days for those interested to review and should be any changes.
