Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:26:49
Up yours with the "3" requirement... by krupa2003-08-24 00:17:10
Well, if we're breaking the "rule of three..." by IronPIP 2003-08-24 11:36:09
I'd go ahead and invite everyone who thinks war is wrong or unnecessary to dinner in a parallel universe without war, in which mortal human disputes are settled by speech, diplomacy, and backstabbing at the hands of individuals with the degree of moral insolvency necessary to maintain status in such an environment.

We'll eat whatever our ruler tells us is best for everyone else because he'll have a gun, and we'll hope he doesn't decide our ears should be cut off. Probably eat sterilized porridge. Cheap, and the emaciated bodies of a race that has decided physical defense is amoral should be able to handle it. Porridge won't hurt any animals either. Certainly wouldn't want to hurt any of those.

Anyway, unlike certain others who might pose similar scenarios, I wouldn't force them to do anything outside their normal range of behavior. Matter of fact, I'd probably leave them alone as quickly as possible.

It'd be a genuine taste of exactly where their views lead the world. No smacking, no forcing them to wear clothing they would not otherwise wear, no force at all.

Maybe they'd even decide to hit the guy serving them porridge, take his gun, and then put it away until he got another one, thus following the example of those current world leaders worthy of their utmost respect. It'd be nice. Heck, they could even help the guy to his feet, though I think that would be kind of stupid.
