I fear loging in via a terminal/rlogin/telnet/ssh is not an option, as this would require the respective services to run. But booting fails when changing the run-level, i.e. just before any service is started.
I'm afraid the system is just fubar. i'm going to try the recovery feature (if there is one). If that fails, i'll probably just re-install. I'll do that later, as i'm quite busy right now (project due tomorrow, see above...)

P.S.: The sole reason i wanted to upgrade glibc was tha i wanted to install Red Carpet, so that RPM-mess would have an end. RedCarped was not happy with the glib i had installed... I wish there would be a *usable* Package Management System... RedHat has it's own, but it's a comercial service... |
