If you change (g)libc	by ideur	2003-08-24 06:35:35
you also have to recompile or reinstall ALL binaries that require (g)libc! Try to reinstall the package which contains glibc. Don't know how to do that in RedHat; Sorry Most probably you will have to reinstall at least the OLD glibc. In the worst case --> re-install! P.S. I just updated libc on a OpenBSD system --> update libc and then recompile ALL libraries AND binaries! (about 3 hours work on a Celleron 900 with "enough" memory (but only one command! -> "make build"))
