PLease Help! I just installed a new version of glibc and glibc-common on my RedHat 9 box -- after that, i got "Access Violation" for just about everything. After re-booting, i can't log in :-( What can I do?
Some details:
- I installed from two separate RPM's, build for Redhat9/i686
- I dont' remember the exact version of the glibc (and can't log in to have a look). I belive it was the newest version (something with a -27 at the end?)
- Booting fails when changing the runlevel.
- I can't boot from bootdisk or in single user mode either.
- I'm using GRUB, not LILO
- The "Access Violation" message was in German ("Speicherzugriffsverletzung", i think), so YMMV
- I'm posting this from my spare box.
- I don't get to #linux-help, as since 3 days (!), all the IRC-Servers i know require Ident, wich my Gateway does not handle... :(
Thank you so much |
