It's "interesting" how some folks seem to enjoy taking things I say and twisting them all around--but I digress.

Yes, he had a choice, and he made the wrong choice because he was an unhealthy person. My point was that by our choosing to hate him for his actions instead of our understanding that his mind was too messed up to do the right thing, we are choosing the route that will make ourselves less-healthy. In other words, hating a mentally ill person for their actions makes no more sense than hating a rabid dog for its actions.
