I'm going to post "sign spoilers" below, but not the location of the signs. Hopefully that'll help anyone who hasn't figured out the alphabet yet, while not totally removing the challenge. (If there's anyone out there like that, of course.)

Please post any other spoilers you think are important with a SPOILER warning in the subject. I'm stuck right now and could use the help.
