laptops and airport security controls by alphascorpii2003-08-23 00:33:43
  It shouldn't be a problem by abaron 2003-08-23 02:00:37
I have taken my pda and camera through the xray machiens and never had a problem. Seeing the number of laptops that go through I would say there isn't a problem. One thing though, like the thread below make sure your batteries are charged, or even better yet put the laptop into sleep mode so you don't have to wait for it to start up and shut down (they just want to take a 5 second glance to make sure it works) Last time they wanted to see if my pada worked but I couldn't get it to come on, they waved me through anyways. One other word of caution, don't let yourself be seperated from the laptop when you go through the metal detector and watch the people around, it's all to easy to have on person slow you up through the detector and his acomplice to take your laptop very calmly.
