...to see what mockery has been made of the second amendment. It's a joke, because people take it too far. Instead of having the right to keep and bear arms, so many today read it as a need. And because of this, there are many who want to see it overturned.
Isn't the same thing happening with the first? Just because you *can* say something doesn't mean you *should*.
If I saw someone walking through airport metal detectors yelling "[CENSORED] you, I don't have a [CENSORED] knife, you [CENSORED] suckers," I'd be inclined to help the security guards beat the hell out of him. It's unnecessary and immature, and plus, he'd have been yelling at the wrong people, anyway. It's also a lot like saying "There's nothing hidden behind this door I'm standing here blocking you from entering." I honestly hope he's made an example of, for being such an ass. Any mature person would tell you that there are some things you just don't joke about.
We're spoiled here in America. I think it'd do us a lot of good to lose some rights, so maybe we'd finally start to appreciate them and use them for what they were intended for a change. |
