Any neurologists in the house? by Silvermoon822003-07-11 20:16:05
  Migraines are a bad thing. by Silvermoon82 2003-07-11 20:33:55
These are my normal migraine symptoms:
  • horrible pain
  • nausea (probably from the pain)
  • dizzyness
  • sensitivity to light, certain sounds (anything sudden, high-pitched, sharply changing)
  • slurred speech is normal for the bad ones
  • impaired fine motor control
  • trembling
  • quick onset
  • "cycles" over the course of several days
The ones that really concerned the paramedics the last time were:
  • near-total loss of motor control (I couldn't walk under my own power)
  • extremely sudden onset, combined with a flash of light
  • pupils dilated, responded slowly
I've not had a bad one in a long time, but this is shaping up to be pretty horrible. This is day 2 (for a year or two I've been able to measure my headaches in 'hours' rather than 'days').
