It works! I just need to fiddle with X configuration for a while, you know, get my mouse wheel working, get the resolution cranked up to 1152x864... you know, that sort of thing... and fonts kinda look crappy at the moment... But yeah, it's working, and I have to admit I rather like it. The install wasn't bad, as installs go. I'll admit I favor the ForeHeadInstall because I have a distinct propensity to not install crucial libraries if I go picking and choosing packages, but I don't like to be completely led around by the nose like Winstalls do. Slack's struck a very nice balance. Now I just have to figure out software management in case I need to install stuff. Yeah.
