There are a number of illogical "rules" that aren't clearly defined. The majority of [normal] people will be fine with that. But a lot of [anal retentive] geeks will want more precision. Like me. A link is modded why? Offensive content. But WHY is it modded, specifically? The only reasonable reasons I've been able to glean are: a) the content is offensive b) someone could easily click that link and become offended/in trouble (like at work) But this leaves us wondering why a "described" link is modded. If I only post the address _without_ a clickable link, why is that modded? a) someone could cut and paste it into the address field accidentally and get offended/in trouble But if I put a DISCLAIMER saying that it was unsafe? Cutting and pasting require EFFORT. Seeing a clear disclaimer would warn you not to go to the effort to become offended. There are still strange gray areas here.
