Read the faq. FYOS is just a baseline, because as Illiad said, he is not in control of content until it's been posted. As it's his site, he's responsible for it and HE'S the one who is gonna take the flak for it. Therefore he made the FYOS rule for the comment board.

Since He IS in utter control of the banner ads, those same precautions do not need to be applied. HE decides what's acceptable, it's HIS site.

That's one of the rights of private property. I'm perfectly within my rights to disallow people on my own webboards at mangaschool.com from posting ads, and yet I can post them all I want. Double-standard, maybe. My site, My rules.

Screaming "double-standard" is the logical equivalent of stamping your foot and screaming "It's not faaaaair!"
