the government can force you to sell your property for "just compensation." This doesn't abridge the right to property, it upholds it. A privilege is a type of right, but it doesn't follow that all rights are therefore privileges. It also doesn't follow that because the object of a right can be taken it's not a "right." The right can't be taken, only the object can: the right not to have my property stolen is not taken from me just because someone steals that property. The thief does not obtain the right to my property in merely possessing the property itself. I retain the right to it, and if the property is found it will be returned to me.
