Back to UserFriendly Strip Comments Index

Having just read through some of today's comments. by Glum_Reaper 2003-07-11 17:29:48
..I have to say: Illiad, I'm right behind you. From some comments I've seen today, your hard work and dedication is grossly undervalued.

It annoys me to see people behaving in such a manner towards the author and manager of a site they clearly enjoy (else why would they be here?) and which has provided them with so much entertainment and asked nothing in return, save that they have to see adverts above the comics.

I can understand some people's position that the FHM ads may get them into trouble, but if they're on this board, I'd have thought they'd have had the knowledge (or if not, could have asked other UFies for it) to block these specific ads.

I myself am in the group of non-subscribing, ad-clicking psuedo-leeches, had I a well paid job, and no debts, I would sign up without hesitation.

In a perfect world, UF would be free for all, and Illiad would still get paid the amount he deserves, but it's not perfect, and UF has to have ads to support itself. This isn't going to change anytime soon, so if you like UF just accept it, help however you can, and give Illiad the credit he deserves!

Ok, so I know that probably wasn't required, and covered no new ground, but I wanted to speak up on this issue...
