A better way to sum it up in addendum to my previous post is that the judge is corrupt and taking payments from the criminal. The local sherriff sees the bench grinder and knowing teh judge is on the take uses probable cause to enter and arrest the perp. He also is smart enough to show the press why he arrested the perp. The corrupt judge's supporters as well as those who abhor the sherriff still rant about the injustice. While the rest of the town relaxes with a deep sigh knowing a dangerous murder is off the streets.
