I'd love to see it this way. No parties, no paid ads, etc.

Rather, I'd like there to be a central fund for things like national elections, and each candidate who wants to run gets an equal share of timeslots, based on the amount of money in that fund.

SAdly, TV is the most effective way to reach the masses.

The problem here is that the candidates can just get their ex-politicians friends to exercise their Right to Free Speech and host their OWN ads in favour of the politician.

We're stuck with politicians on TV, no matter how it deals with it.
