our oh so wise and caring founders thought only white male land-owners should vote, yeah I think we can safely say that today's leaders are wiser. Certainly about things like discrimination and 'real' equality. (Unless your homosexual, you'll have to give the retards a few more years to die off.)

While there is a method for change, amending the constitution just should not be necessary for most law changes. (Like that asinine marriage amendment kicking around.) If you force a constitutional amendment for any change, then you make it much much harder to reverse bad law. (Prohibition anyone?)

Some bad changes may have been made in that last couple of years, but some very good changes have been made since the founding of the country. All we can do is try to fix the mistakes and keep learning.
