should be changed, but only when necessitated by the needs of the modern world. The founders included provision for changes for just such a contingency.

We should, however, be very careful about such changes, and make them reluctantly.

The founders risked their lives and property to found this country. They had its welfare at heart. Modern leaders generally risk other people's money to gain positions of power. they have their own and their owner's interests at heart.
