Seriously though. Using the U.S.A. and Canada as examples, our original sets of laws were laid down 200/100 years ago. Times change. People change. Societies change. What may have worked back then may not work now. Change what needs to be changed, leave what still works. Blind obedience to the whims of people long-dead is not sensible.
