ourselves.

Look at the voting records. Less than 50% vote for state elections. Only 50% vote for presidential. That's 50% of the people who are actually eligible to vote, not total population.

We've screwed ourselves on that and only we can fix it. If you vote for people who are going to do what you want (and assuming that you're wanting generally good things and not something to just destroy everything), voting for the *people* will give you a mass of politicians who are actually doing what the majority of the country WANTS them to.

Voting for the party just absolves them of blame. "Oh, well, i *wanted* to do it your way, but I have to vote the parties way".

Our govt is a direct result of our actions, or rather inaction.
