the candidate you vote for will vote according to his principles, and not according to the dictates of the party without which he would not have been able to afford the campaign that gave him his seat. Party politics is the reality that we have to live with. And one of the protections built into the US Constitution is negated by party politics when the same party holds all three positions: Senate, Congress and Presidency. But then, you said that you don't need protection by the Constitution, as long as you agree with the party currently in power. That makes you cattle, rather than sheeple.
