Not just the Patriot Act, but would you still support, say, privacy when every day crime lords, drug dealers and murderers get off on charges they should get the death sentence for?
It's easy to say "The rights of the individual are THE most important thing!" Hell, the ACLU has made a FORTUNE out of cases like that. But then they blame the government when society goes to hell, while stripping the govt of every attempt it makes to actually do something about it.
