You've got to be kidding. The bill of rights is the best part of the whole thing. Explicit protections of certain freedoms were necessary after people attempted to make laws curtailling them. Let's say you find yourself in the position of a criminal. I'm not saying that you did anything, but let's say you're accused. I'd certainly be glad to have a document defending my rights. The potential damage from not having that type of protection is far greater than the criminals we let walk free. Think police state. Think Communist Russia. Think Gulag. Think oppression. It can be trampled more than it already has. Look up Patriot II and then tell me that.
