Lots of other "fiction" could be presented as fact and have parts historically and archaologically verified and STILL be fiction. The difference is that the authors labelled their fictions as such from the get go.

The Bible's veracity is entirely dependent upon how much disbelief you are willing to suspend to embrace it. If you are willing to suspend no disbelief, it has considerably less; if you are willing to suspend all disbelief, then it is the divine word of your God.
