I don't to get into a debate here and now, but I was raised Catholic, turned my back on God/questioned his existance and looked for answers elsewhere. This search brought me back to God. He has proven himself satisfactorily to me both intellectually and in personal ways that are hard to explain on a forum like this.
There are a lot of facets of God that do not make complete logical sense to me, but I accept these as areas that are beyond my current understanding. (For example, I accept that God is three persons in one the way that I accpet that light is both particle and wave.
I do think that organized religion often gets in the way, though, as do many followers that "ram religion down your throat." (Not quoting anyone here, just a comment I have heard IRL many times.) |
