Any material technologists out there? by Sleepy_Head2003-07-11 02:00:13
Difficult problem there! by Tomo 2003-07-11 08:49:18
1) My first instinct is aluminium foil - it's reasonably tear resistant so long as you keep the edges secure and safe.
The edges would have to be glued to make a bag - choose your glue carefully!

It must be a good quality stuff - a lot of the cheap stuff has a plastic backing and the aluminium is very thin, leading to failure at high temperature.
Stick a sample in the oven to test it - cheap

Flexibility at low temp is not particularly good, but there aren't many materials that are still flexible that cold anyway.

2) Carbon fibre sheets, if you want flexible get it woven without resin - it's a black cloth, very heat conductive, but a bit irritant.
I'm assuming that it must be flexible, but otherwise use sheet aluminium. (Or copper if you have the cash)
