Ironically, I discussed this in one of my comments yesterday...
I was baptized as a Protestant (Disciples of Christ), but recently converted to Catholicism.
My reason for converting?
My wife's Catholic and we agreed to raise our kids that way. I've always believed that the brand of religion shouldn't matter...most of the different mainstream Christian religions have the same core of beliefs, for the same set of events...even if they all interpret them differently.
So it's no skin off my nose where I go to worship, as long as they aren't drinking Kool-Aid, torturing heretics, or sacrificing pets and small kids...
