If the laws change it is still my decission whether or not to act on them.

For example, it is quite legal to drive your car in England at 77 miles an hour, even thou the sign says 70, as there is a 10% margin for error in the speedometer. But I never go above 65 on the clock just so I won't break 70.

If the regime says it's ok to go out and kick the bejesus out of gay people, this doesn't mean I'll go out and do it. Why should I, even if the law says it's ok.
