I agree with about 90-95% of what you have said, the remainder being merely a difference of opinion or perspective that would serve no purpose debating - not here anyway.
I looked at a couple of those "contradiction" links and saw things that are (reasonably) easily explained, especially by going back to the Hebrew or Greek. I had been thinking of doing that, but like you say, it is a matter of what they want to believe. Usually I try to avoid these sort of debates because they tend to go nowhere, but for some reason I got involved this time! |
